New cancellation terms: check your booking date and cruise length
Royal Caribbean's U.S. contract now applies a revised cancellation schedule to bookings made from October 11. Earlier bookings generally retain their confirmation's schedule, with exceptions for specified 2028 voyages purchased from September 29.
What to consider
Before reserving, ask for your deposit type, refund cutoff and cancellation schedule. A refundable deposit does not mean the entire cruise remains refundable at every stage.
Royal Caribbean lists 60% off the second guest's cruise fare, plus Kids Sail Free and free third and fourth guests on eligible sailings. These offers have date, occupancy and fare restrictions; taxes, fees and port expenses still apply.
What to consider
Compare the promotion with available exclusive rates for the same sailing and cabin. Offers may not combine with your selected fare. This is a dated news summary; check current supplier terms before booking.
A new Okinawa terminal targets a March 2028 opening
Royal Caribbean Group and its partners began construction of a new terminal at Naha Port, Okinawa. Operations are targeted for March 2028, supporting future cruise growth in Japan and East Asia.
What to consider
The project is a future planning development. It does not itself confirm a Royal Caribbean ship assignment, itinerary or fare.
Royal Caribbean's 2028 Alaska season is open for planning
The announced lineup includes Anthem, Ovation, Serenade and Voyager of the Seas, with seven-night departures from Seattle, Vancouver and Seward. General bookings opened October 1; select Anthem trips can include land extensions.
What to consider
Compare a roundtrip cruise with a one-way route and Cruisetour. Include flights, transfers and land arrangements when assessing the complete vacation cost.
